Princess Diana has had her share of controversies. Prior to her unfortunate passing in 1997, she was linked with Dodi Al-Fayed. While many deemed their association as a mere fling or publicity stunt, others called it the start of something that could have had potential. Their cruise through the Mediterranean aboard a multi-million-dollar superyacht also remains famed to date. And it is that very 208-foot vessel that is set to be sold again. For those confused, we’re talking about the luxurious Sokar yacht, now renamed Bach.

Designed by naval architect Vincenzo Ruggiero in the 1980s and built by the superyacht building firm Codecasa before launching in 1990, the luxe vessel can accommodate up to 18 people across nine staterooms in addition to rooms for 26 crew members.

It comes with a jacuzzi, swim platform, sun deck, a formal dining room, main saloon, a bar, and office space – apart from other standard amenities. Further, the yacht is powered by Wärtsilä engines and boasts a cruising speed of 15 knots and top speeds of 20 knots.

The vehicle was originally called Jonikal and has been renamed Bach only lately. It originally belonged to Mohamed Al-Fayed, former owner of Harrods and father of Dodi Al-Fayed. After Princess Diana and Dodi Fayed’s tragic death, Mohamed Al-Fayed attempted to sell it several times but remained unsuccessful.
