Sorry billionaires, George Clooney is not selling his magnificent $107 million Lake Como villa

All good things must come to an end. Not in the case of George Clooney and his wife Amal, who own the most stunning $100 million home, Villa Oleandra, in the most breathtaking locale- Lake Como. Last week, reports suggested the Hollywood star was selling his Lake Como paradise after owning it for 21 years. The New York Post’s Page Six cleared the air, stating when Clooney heard of the rumored sale, he told the Post through a representative, adding, “It’s not true.” Villa Oleandra is one of four homes owned by the actor on Laglio’s lakefront.

The talented movie star bought the abode in 2001 for $7 million, where he met his wife for the first time. The property flaunts a 25-room home, a sprawling garage where George stores his many vintage motorcycles, a movie room, pool, basketball court, and two docks on Lake Como. It isn’t these lavish amenities but “the Clooney effect that catapulted the $7 million mansion into a whopping $100 million estate. Visitors would often throng the property, like the paparazzi, to glimpse the glamorous couple.

To maintain privacy and decorum, officials had to step in to help the Clooneys. The mayor of Laglio issued restricting orders, and disturbing the Clooney’s at their Laglio residence, even from 100 meters away, would land the lawbreaker a hefty $600 fine. Villa Oleandra, a true gem of Clooney’s real estate portfolio, has hosted glitterati like the former President of the United States, Barack Obama, Prince Harry, Meghan Markle, Jennifer Aniston, and Matt Damon.

Had Clooney, in fact, sold this wonderful home, it would have ranked as one of the largest celebrity home sold ever.
