We have seen some really amazing superyachts, some that are touted to be the largest in the world, while some take pride in being the most luxurious of the lot. Joining this list of some of the world’s best is superyacht Nourah of Riyad, who became the largest superyacht launched in Turkey after leaving her dry dock in 2008 to enter the waters of Izmit Bay for the first time. Yachtley engineers and artisans take credit for this superyacht’s build and architecture, while Donald Starkey can be commended for the plush interiors and the exteriors.
Powered by twin 3516 C 3150 HP Caterpillar diesel engines, this superyacht can achieve a top speed of 19 knots and a cruising speed of 16 knots. The superyacht also boasts a water storage capacity of more than 14,000 gallons and two reverse osmosis watermakers complete with sand filters, capable of producing up to 13,000 gallons/day.
Besides the tech specs, this superyacht can also take pride in its lavish contemporary themed interiors. The Main Deck features the main entrance foyer, owner’s suite, custom theatre, and main saloon. Shades of natural colors and materials, marble floors, and exotic wood-paneled bulkheads that lead to the main saloon and an onboard elevator are the main features of the yacht’s splendid décor.
Sliding foot-activated doors lead guests into the main saloon. The main saloon with it’s fully carpeted flooring, integrated indirect lighting feature, a multi-level overhead arranged in a distinctive decorative pattern, built-in seating, and loose furniture arranged in a majlis style, including a gaming table sized for six, is a true haven of luxury. LCD and Plasma and audio and video equipment provide the entertainment in the main saloon.
What is more, this yacht features not one but two of his and her owner suites. Besides offering panoramic views, these owner suites each feature attached walk-in dressing rooms, oversized king-sized beds, electronically-controlled adjustable bed frames, built-in cabinetry that conceals a well-equipped entertainment system, and electronically operated curtains that hang on every window offer optimum privacy.
The attached bath, too, is one exclusive affair with a steam shower and sculptured marble vanity. The port-side bath features a shower and separate bathtub, and a second sculptured marble vanity. The owner’s private area also includes a lounge that spans the full width of this superyacht.
A purpose-built private theatre with seating for nine is the highlight of the main deck starboard side. The lower deck houses six guest suites. Every guest suite has its own unique interiors and features either a large king-size bed or two extra wide single beds. Besides electronically controlled curtains and programmable indirect lighting, each of the suites also has its own bath with Hoesch whirlpool baths with gold-plated fixtures made by Serdanelli Princess.
The Upper is host to the large dining area that has a seating capacity of 24. An atrium staircase provides access to the Sun Deck. A luxurious abode on the seas, this superyacht is truly in a league of its own.
