Art that smells great! Japanese contemporary artist Yayoi Kusama covers Louis Vuitton’s iconic fragrances in her legendary polka-dots

Louis Vuitton fragrances have been Kusama-fied and were certainly not complaining. After a decade, Yayoi Kusama and Louis Vuitton have reunited with an impactful, out-of-the-box collection of handbags, footwear, ready-to-wear and more, along with unique pop-ups.

After giving fashionistas the striking, chic dotted bags, the 93-year-old artist will cast her signature polka-dots on three iconic perfume bottles of the luxury brand. The Maison’s iconic fragrance bottles for Spell on You, L’Immensité, and Attrape-Rêves are reimagined with the artist’s playful, vibrant, repetitive dots. Per Community, the scents will be housed in similar polka-clad travel cases.

“Spell On You,” formulated with iris pallida and rose dons romantic red polkas. L’Immensité’s hints of ginger and grapefruit are encased in a ginger-hued bottle. At the same time, Attrape-Rêves offers a dash of the infinity dots pattern wrapping peonies with raw cocoa powder and a hit of patchouli heart.

The yet-to-release second drop will bring Kusama’s love for flowers to the forefront.
